Join our dynamic dental team as a part-time Dental Hygienist working on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays! In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional patient care by providing thorough dental cleanings, patient education, and assisting with various clinical procedures. Responsibilities
- Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth, removing plaque and calculus, and applying fluoride treatments.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
- Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure smooth workflow.
- Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to foster long-term dental health.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR/EMR systems) like Eaglesoft or Dentrix accurately and efficiently.
- Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical coding standards.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental office or clinic setting is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and medical records management is essential.
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry concepts and pediatric patient care is a plus.
- Proficiency in using dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix enhances your ability to deliver seamless patient service.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and medical imaging techniques is beneficial.
