Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being during treatment. You will work closely with the dental team to promote oral health and educate patients on proper dental hygiene practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of dental anatomy, patient care, and effective communication skills.

Classic Dental Arts in Manalapan, New Jersey is seeking a part-time Dental Hygienist to join our growing practice! This position starts with 1 day per week and offers the opportunity to build into a full-time role.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
• Document patient treatment plans and maintain accurate records in the electronic health system.
• Assist in the diagnosis of oral diseases by reviewing medical histories and conducting screenings.
• Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients.
• Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and best practices in patient care.
• Perform routine hygiene care and assessments
• Use the latest iTero technology to help present and discuss treatment options
• Collaborate with the clinical team on patient care and education
• Provide a friendly and professional experience for every patient

Experience

• Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or similar role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical coding, and documentation review is essential.
• Experience working with pediatric patients or in pediatric dentistry is a plus.
• Familiarity with dentrix ascend software is advantageous but not required.
• Previous experience in dental assisting may be beneficial for this position.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and comfort are required.
• Requirements:
• Valid New Jersey Dental Hygiene License
• Local anesthesia and nitrous oxide certification preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• A team-oriented, personable attitude
• Ability to educate and motivate patients about their oral health
