Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, tailored to pediatric patients’ needs
• Assess vital signs and medical history to ensure safe and effective treatment planning
• Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while adhering to proper aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
• Educate children and their guardians on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
• Assist dentists with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and patient comfort
• Review medical records and documentation to ensure accurate patient histories and treatment documentation
• Maintain detailed records of patient care, including medical coding and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system documentation review
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality at all times

Qualifications

• Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with pediatric dentistry experience preferred
• Proficiency in dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and aseptic techniques
• Experience with pediatric dentistry, including working with young children in a clinical setting
• Skilled in chairside assisting, vital signs measurement, and medical imaging procedures
• Familiarity with EMR systems, medical coding, and documentation review processes
• Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with children and their families
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology related to dental practice

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
