Dental insurance and billing coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Manage dental insurance claims processing, including submission, follow-up, and resolution of denials or rejections
  • Accurately code procedures using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), systems to ensure proper reimbursement
  • Review and verify dental records and documentation for completeness and compliance with insurance requirements
  • Collaborate with patients to explain insurance benefits, coverage limitations, and out-of-pocket costs
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dental billing regulations, insurance policies, and coding updates to ensure compliance
  • Utilize Electronic Dental Health Rocords systems efficiently for data entry and record management
  • Conduct dental collections by following up on unpaid claims and outstanding balances to maximize revenue recovery
  • Credential Dentists with insurance companies

Requirements

  • Proven experience in dental billing within a dental setting with familiarity in dental insurance processes
  • Strong knowledge of dental coding and dental terminology
  • Experience with dental office operations, including managing dental records and billing procedures
  • Proficiency in Eaglesoft Dental software preferred
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers
  • Ability to interpret insurance claims payments and explain complex billing information clearly
  • Knowledge of dental collection procedures and best practices for revenue cycle management

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
