Dental Insurance & Patient Coordinator

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Insurance & Patient Coordinator to join our vibrant dental practice. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, as a receptionist to check in and check out, answer phone calls , and text/ email questions regarding insurance benefits, billing, and appointment scheduling. Your bubbly, friendly, and energetic approach will ensure a smooth patient experience while efficiently managing insurance claims, coding, and medical records. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your expertise in dental insurance processes with exceptional patient service, contributing to the overall success of our team. We are looking for a dependable, motivated, and customer-focused Insurance & Patient Coordinator to join our modern, privately owned dental practice where we provide exceptional customer service and experience to our patients.

This is a key front office role responsible for helping patients understand treatment, managing insurance accurately, and keeping the schedule productive and organized.

Primary ResponsibilitiesInsurance & Billing

  • Verify dental insurance benefits accurately before appointments
  • Understand PPO plans, frequencies, limitations, deductibles, downgrades, and estimates
  • Submit claims and assist with insurance follow-up
  • Review patient balances and collect payments professionally
  • Understand common dental procedure codes

Patient Coordination

  • Present treatment plans and explain financial options clearly
  • Schedule appointments efficiently for doctor and hygiene schedules
  • Confirm appointments and reduce no-shows
  • Follow up on unscheduled treatment and overdue patients
  • Deliver excellent service in person, by phone, and text

Front Office Excellence

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally
  • Maintain organized records and communication logs
  • Support daily office flow with urgency and teamwork
  • Arrive on time and ready to perform every shift

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year dental office experience required
  • Must understand dental insurance and common dental codes
  • Strong treatment plan presentation skills
  • Excellent phone and customer service skills
  • Highly dependable and punctual
  • Comfortable multitasking in a busy office
  • Willing to work Saturdays
  • Open Dental experience preferred

Compensation & Growth

  • $18–$22/hour based on experience

Hours-

Monday - 10 am to 6 pm (as needed)
Tues to Thur - 8:30 am to 5 pm
Friday and Saturday - 10 am to 6 pm

Sunday closed

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
