Dental Lab Tech

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic dental team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and customizing dental prosthetics, restorations, and appliances with precision and care. Your expertise in dental fabrication, anatomy, and laboratory techniques will directly contribute to enhancing patient outcomes and smile aesthetics. Responsibilities

  • Fabricate dental prosthetics, crowns, bridges, dentures, and orthodontic appliances using CAD/CAM technology and traditional laboratory methods.
  • Collaborate closely with dentists and dental assistants to ensure accurate interpretation of prescriptions and patient needs.
  • Maintain strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques throughout all laboratory processes.
  • Utilize medical imaging tools and dental terminology to assist in precise model creation and adjustments.
  • Manage detailed medical documentation, records, and lab reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Use precision instruments such as micrometers to ensure accurate measurements for dental components.
  • Support chairside assisting when needed by providing technical expertise during procedures or patient assessments.

Requirements

  • Proven laboratory experience with a strong understanding of dental fabrication processes.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and dental terminology essential for accurate model creation.
  • Experience working with EMR systems such as Epic or similar platforms for managing patient records.
  • Familiarity with infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures in a clinical setting.
  • Ability to operate CAD software for designing dental restorations and appliances effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to measure precisely using tools like micrometers.
  • Prior experience in pediatric dentistry or working with diverse patient populations is a plus.
