Dental Laboratory Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dental Lab Technician to join our dental laboratory team. The technician will be responsible for fabricating, repairing, and customizing dental prosthetics such as crowns, bridges, dentures, and orthodontic appliances according to dentist specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, manual dexterity, and a keen eye for aesthetics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret prescriptions or work orders from dentists.
• Fabricate full and partial dentures, crowns, bridges, veneers, inlays, and orthodontic appliances.
• Use a variety of materials including wax, metal, porcelain, and acrylic.
• Operate dental laboratory equipment such as casting machines, lathes, furnaces, and grinders.
• Use CAD/CAM technology to design and manufacture dental prosthetics.
• Adjust, repair, and reline dental appliances.
• Ensure prosthetics fit, function, and appear natural.
• Maintain accurate records of work and materials used.
• Follow safety and sanitation protocols in the lab.
• Collaborate closely with dentists and other dental professionals to ensure patient satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree or certification in Dental Laboratory Technology preferred).
• Proven experience as a dental technician (1–3 years preferred).
• Knowledge of dental anatomy and prosthetic design principles.
• Familiarity with dental materials and CAD/CAM technology.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
