Dental Nurse

Job Purpose:

To provide chairside support to dentists and dental hygienists, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, infection control, and clinical efficiency within the dental practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clinical Assistance
• Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and materials before, during, and after dental procedures.
• Provide chairside support to the dentist/hygienist during examinations and treatments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable and reassured throughout procedures.
• Accurately record dental charting and treatment notes as directed.
• Patient Care
• Welcome and prepare patients for treatment.
• Provide pre- and post-operative instructions.
• Offer a caring and empathetic approach to nervous or anxious patients.
• Infection Control & Safety
• Follow strict cross-infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile working environment.
• Disinfect and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Safely dispose of clinical waste in accordance with regulations.
• Administrative Duties
• Schedule appointments and maintain accurate patient records.
• Handle patient queries in a professional and supportive manner.
• Assist with stock control and ordering of materials.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Certified Dental Nurse qualification (or equivalent, depending on country).
• Registration with the appropriate dental/nursing council (if required by law).
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient-focused, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work well in a team and under pressure.

Working Conditions:

• Based in a dental clinic or hospital dental department.
• Working hours may include evenings or weekends depending on the practice schedule.
• Role requires adherence to strict hygiene and safety standards.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
