Dental Nurse/trainee nurse

Job Summary Galston dental practice is lookig for a friendly, reliable, and motivated Dental Nurse to join our welcoming team.

We are a long established practice committed to providing high quality patient care in a supportive and professional environment.

Duties

  • Assist dentists during clinical procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise instruments in accordance with health and safety standards
  • Provide support to patients before, during, and after treatments, ensuring clear communication and reassurance
  • Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems
  • Support with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and patient correspondence
  • Uphold infection control protocols and ensure the practice complies with all relevant regulations
  • Participate in ongoing training programmes to develop nursing skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Genuine interest in patient care and a commitment to delivering excellent service
  • Good command of English, both spoken and written
  • Basic understanding of nursing principles and practices (training provided for those starting out)
  • Strong IT skills, including familiarity with dental practice management software
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members
  • Organised with good attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Ability to work well within a team environment and follow instructions accurately
  • Previous experience in nursing or healthcare is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates

Pay: From £12.21 per hour
