Duties
- Provide versatile support across clinical and administrative areas, including chairside assisting, front desk duties, and sterilization processes
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out, ensuring accurate medical documentation and records management in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft
- Support clinical staff with procedures like X-ray imaging, vital signs measurement, and maintaining infection control protocols using aseptic techniques
- Help prepare treatment rooms with necessary supplies and ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy
- Facilitate four-handed dentistry by passing instruments efficiently during procedures such as prosthodontics or endodontics treatments
- Operate dental equipment including 3D scanners and medical imaging devices while maintaining proper infection control standards
- Assist with pediatric dentistry cases by understanding specific needs related to pediatrics and supporting child-friendly procedures
Skills
- Proficiency in EMR systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental practice
- Experience with dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, aseptic technique, and infection control practices
- Familiarity with X-ray procedures, vital signs measurement, and the use of 3D scanners for diagnostic purposes
- Ability to perform general dentistry tasks with a focus on pediatric dentistry when needed
- Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and medical coding for accurate recordkeeping
- Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist or front desk support to ensure positive patient interactions

Pay: $24.77 - $29.83 per hour
