Dental Office Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dental Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental office management, fiscal management, and supervisory experience. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a team effectively while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the dental office, ensuring efficient workflow and patient satisfaction.
  • Manage financial aspects of the practice, including budgeting, billing, and collections.
  • Supervise and train office staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Implement and manage office policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with dental professionals to ensure high-quality patient care and service delivery.
  • Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
  • Utilize EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or eClinicalWorks for patient management and record keeping.
  • Handle human resources functions including hiring, training, and performance evaluations of staff.
  • Stay updated on medical terminology and industry trends to ensure best practices in office management.

Experience
Candidates should possess:

  • Proven experience in dental office management or similar medical office experience.
  • Strong supervisory skills with a focus on team development and performance management.
  • Familiarity with financial management principles including budgeting and fiscal oversight.
  • Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems; experience with Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of healthcare regulations including JCAHO standards and managed care practices.
  • Previous experience in acute care or critical care settings is a plus but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
