Dental Office Manager/Treatment Coordinator

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic Dental Office Manager/Treatment Coordinator to lead our dental practice operations and enhance patient care experiences. The ideal candidate will possess extensive medical office management expertise, including proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, practice management software, and billing procedures. This role demands strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of dental and medical terminology, and the ability to coordinate treatment plans effectively. The successful candidate will ensure smooth clinic operations, foster excellent patient relationships, and oversee administrative functions with precision and professionalism.

Duties

  • Manage daily office operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and administrative workflows to optimize efficiency.
  • Coordinate patient treatment plans by explaining procedures, financial options, and insurance coverage clearly and compassionately.
  • Oversee billing, coding, and collections processes utilizing dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
  • Supervise staff including front desk personnel, dental assistants, and hygienists to promote a collaborative team environment.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain the confidentiality of medical records and patient information.
  • Monitor financial performance through budgeting, fiscal management, and resource allocation to support practice growth.
  • Implement policies related to medical administrative support, human resources, and clinic standards aligned with JCAHO or other accreditation requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dental clinic best practices, healthcare management protocols, and EMR/EHR systems like eClinicalWorks or Epic.

Experience

  • Proven experience in dental office management or healthcare administration within a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams in a medical or dental environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of dental office workflows, billing practices, and insurance claims processing.
  • Familiarity with practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is essential; experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards.
  • Background in fiscal management including budgeting, financial reporting, and resource planning within healthcare settings.
