At SomnoMed, we are the global leader in oral appliance therapy for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea. Our mission is simple but powerful: help people sleep better, live longer, and live healthier lives. Hundreds of thousands of patients worldwide rely on our clinically validated devices — and our Operations team plays a critical role in making that possible.
We are seeking a Dental Operations Technician who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced and detail-driven environment that takes pride in producing high-quality work that directly impacts patient outcomes. A DENTAL BACKGROUND IS ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ROLE.
You will be a key member of our Operations team — receiving, preparing, processing, scanning, and validating dental impressions and models while ensuring strict quality standards and compliance.
What You’ll Do
Operations Excellence
- Receive, document, disinfect, and prepare incoming dental cases
- Pour dental impressions; grind and trim models to precise specifications
- Perform quality control (QC) validation on dental models prior to scanning
- Scan cases and prepare digital files for production
- Process and enter data accurately in CRM systems
- Assess warranty-related cases and provide recommendations
- Maintain organized, clean, and compliant workspaces
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve operational performance
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend solutions
- Maintain updated knowledge of SomnoMed products, processes, and standards
Compliance & Confidentiality
- Handle Protected Health Information (PHI/ePHI) in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Complete required privacy and security training
- Maintain the highest standards of professionalism and discretion
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required
- Formal dental knowledge is required, including coursework, certification, or hands-on training in dental assisting, dental technology, dental lab technology, or related dental programs
- 2+ years of experience working with dental impressions, models, appliances, or in a dental lab/clinical setting
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and workflows
- Experience pouring and trimming models strongly preferred
- Proficiency with computer systems and CRM platforms
- Exceptional attention to detail and quality focus
- Dependable, team-oriented, and committed to operational excellence
Physical Requirements (Important)
This is an active, production-floor role.
You will be on your feet for the majority of your shift, regularly handling materials and equipment. The position requires:
- Standing most of the workday
- Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
- Close visual focus and fine motor skills
- Use of hands for trimming, grinding, scanning, and processing models
If you prefer a sedentary desk role, this may not be the right fit — but if you enjoy hands-on, meaningful work in a structured, high-quality environment, you’ll thrive here.
If you are dependable, quality-driven, and passionate about dental precision and operational excellence, we would love to hear from you.
