Overview
We are seeking a skilled, professional and motivated Oral Surgery Assistant to join our fast-paced oral and maxillofacial private surgery practice. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and committed to providing exceptional patient care in a surgical environment.
Responsibilities
- Chairside assisting during oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures
- Four-handed dentistry in a surgical setting
- Maintaining sterile surgical fields and proper infection control
- Monitoring patient vital signs before, during, and after procedures
- Post-anesthesia recovery monitoring and patient discharge
- Pre-operative patient preparation and education
- Providing post-operative instructions and follow-up care
- Capture dental radiographs, including X-ray imaging and 3D scans, ensuring proper patient positioning and safety protocols
Skills
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure surgical environment
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to multitask and adapt quickly
Requirements
- Dental assistant certification
- Radiology/X-ray certification
- CPR/BLS certification
- Bilingual
