Position: Full-Time Oral Surgery Assistant

Role Overview:

As an Oral Surgery Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations within our practice—both in the surgical suite and at the front of house.

Daily Responsibilities:

Surgical Support: Assist the oral surgeon during procedures by passing instruments, maintaining a sterile field, and anticipating needs.
Consultation Support: Help with patient histories, recover sedated patients, and assist the surgeon in explaining treatment plans.
Prosthetics Assistance: Prepare and pass instruments for prosthetic placements, ensure secure placement, and help with adjustments.
Room Setup: Prepare the operatory or treatment room, ensuring all instruments and supplies are ready and the room is clean.
Imaging: Operate and maintain panoramic and CT scanning equipment.
Instrument Sterilization: Clean, sterilize, and store all surgical instruments and materials.
Patient Care: Explain pre-operative and post-operative instructions to patients.
Confidentiality: Adhere to strict guidelines to keep patient information private and secure.
Inventory Management: Track supplies and equipment usage, and assist in ordering necessary items.
Front of House Support: Assist with front desk operations including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, answering phones, verifying insurance, and maintaining a welcoming and organized reception area.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification or experience as a surgical assistant preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Experience:

• No experience in required, we'll train the right person!

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
