Dental Practice Receptionist

Duties/Responsibilities

As the first smiling face our patients see, your role is essential to creating a warm and welcoming experience! Your responsibilities will include:

• Greeting and checking in patients with a big smile and positive attitude
• Answering phone calls and scheduling appointments with professionalism and care
• Verifying dental insurance and benefits accurately
• Collecting co-pays, processing payments, and handling post-treatment check-outs
• Preparing and submitting insurance claims for Medicaid and PPO insurances
• Communicating clearly with both patients and parents about appointments and billing
• Supporting our dental team with day-to-day office tasks
• Ensuring every child and parent leaves with a smile!

Requirements

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
• Knowledge of dental terminology
• Familiar with Open Dental software (a big plus!)
• Knowledge of insurance verification and claims processing
• Friendly, dependable, and excellent with kids and families
• Great communicator with strong interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a busy office
• Experienced in customer service, and dental front office operations
• Professional, team-oriented, and eager to contribute to a positive work environment
