As we expand our footprint, we are building a high performing Revenue Cycle Management department to support our practices and drive financial health across the organization.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our growing RCM team.
Overview
The A/R Specialist is responsible for managing insurance accounts receivable across multiple dental practices.
This role focuses on claims follow-up, denial management, appeals, and ensuring timely reimbursement. The ideal
candidate is analytical, organized, persistent, and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.
This position plays a critical role in maintaining cash flow and supporting practice performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and follow up on outstanding insurance claims to ensure timely payment
- Research and resolve denied, underpaid, or delayed claims
- Submit corrected claims and formal appeals as needed
- Identify trends in denials and provide feedback to leadership
- Work aging reports (30/60/90+ days) and maintain assigned A/R benchmarks
- Collaborate with payment posting team to reconcile discrepancies
- Coordinate with front desk teams regarding eligibility, estimates, and patient portions when needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of follow-up efforts in practice management systems
- Assist with refund review and cleanup as assigned
- Support onboarding of newly acquired practices from an A/R perspective
Qualifications
- 2+ years of dental insurance A/R experience (DSO experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of dental claims lifecycle, EOBs, and payer guidelines
- Experience with denial management and appeals
- Familiarity with common dental practice management systems
- Experience with Dentrix Ascend is a plus
- Knowledge of PPO plans, coordination of benefits, and claim resubmissions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple locations and priorities
Preferred Experience
- Multi-location or DSO experience
- Experience working aging reports across several practices
- Comfort working with performance metrics and A/R KPIs

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
