Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our pediatric dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong background in dental administrative support, and a thorough understanding of dental terminology and office management. As a Dental Receptionist, you will be responsible for managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and maintaining accurate dental records. Your role is vital in ensuring a smooth and welcoming patient experience while supporting the clinical team with administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients/ parents warmly and professionally, providing exceptional customer service at the front desk.
- Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software. We utilize Dentrix for our PMS.
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits, ensuring accurate billing and coding.
- Manage dental billing processes, including collections, documentation review, and follow-up on unpaid accounts.
- Assist with insurance claims processing and follow-up.
- Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Support clinical staff by managing patient intake forms, updating medical histories, and coordinating care plans when necessary.
- Recall and Unscheduled treatment follow-up and management.
- Utilize dental terminology effectively to facilitate communication between patients and providers while supporting office management operations.
Experience
- Must have a minimum of 1 year prior experience working in a dental practice setting.
- Have knowledge of dental codes and terminology, be familiar with claims processing and follow-up.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with bilingual capabilities considered an asset for serving diverse patient populations.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
