We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team! Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify insurance coverage, and manage appointment scheduling using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
- Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, providing clear information and directing calls appropriately.
- Verify insurance benefits, perform insurance eligibility checks, and process claims efficiently using systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth.
- Collect payments, process billing, and perform medical collection activities in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain accurate dental records, update patient information, and review documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Assist with intake procedures, including gathering medical histories and explaining treatment plans to patients.
- Support office management tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and managing electronic health records (EHR systems) like eClinicalWorks or Meditech.
Experience
- Prior clinic or dental office experience is highly preferred; familiarity with dental terminology and medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10) is a plus.
- Proven success in medical administrative support with strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
- Demonstrated ability to handle medical billing, insurance verification, and documentation review with attention to detail.
- Excellent patient service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities.
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse patient populations.
- Experience working with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or Athenahealth enhances your candidacy.
