Dental Receptionist/Administrative Assistant/Treatment Planner

Overview
Experienced Receptionist/Administrative Assistant needed to join our team as our office expands in the community. The desired candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations by providing exceptional customer service as our first impression, managing dental records, and supporting administrative tasks. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Manage incoming calls and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain the office calendar efficiently.
  • Handle medical records with confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Perform documentation review to ensure compliance with office policies.
  • Utilize Open Dental for patient management and record keeping.
  • Assist with 10 key typing for data entry tasks as needed.
  • Provide customer service support to patients regarding their inquiries about services, verifying insurance benefits, and billing services rendered daily.
  • Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow within the office.
  • Present dental treatment, discuss financial obligations and insurance benefits.

Qualifications

  • 3 years previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical records management and insurance is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional appearance.
  • Proficient in office software applications; experience with Open Dental is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
