Dental Receptionist/Nurse-The Old Orchard Dental Practice

The Old Orchard Dental Practice is a well-established independent practice in Bonnyrigg, Midlothian, easily commutable from Edinburgh and across the Lothians. We are looking for a friendly, organised Dental Receptionist/Nurse to join our welcoming, family-focused team.

We are a growing predominantly private practice dedicated to providing high-quality, pain-free dental care and creating an excellent patient experience.

This is primarily a full-time receptionist role, however GDC registration as a dental nurse would be advantageous for occasional chairside nursing support, if required for holiday or absence cover. Previous dental reception experience is essential.

As the first point of contact for our patients, our Dental Receptionist plays a key role in creating a warm and positive experience. We’re looking for someone friendly, organised, professional, and enthusiastic to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and managing enquiries in person, by phone, and email
• Managing appointments and maintaining the practice diary using EXACT (SOE) software
• Handling payments, patient records, and general administration whilst ensuring strict confidentiality
• Assist the team with patient communication, explaining dental plans, and gaining testimonials and referrals.
• Providing chairside support and instrument decontamination when required

• Starting Salary - £14 per hour
• Monday to Friday 8.30am-5pm — no weekends
