Appaloosa Dental Partners is a growing Dental Service Organization (DSO) supporting multiple dental practices across several states. Our mission is to provide strong operational and revenue cycle support so our providers can focus on delivering exceptional patient care.

We are seeking an experienced Dental Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our in-office team in Plano, TX. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and clean accounts receivable across our supported practices.

Position Summary

The Dental Revenue Cycle Specialist is responsible for managing day-to-day revenue cycle functions including insurance verification, claim submission, payment posting, accounts receivable follow-up, and issue resolution. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in dental insurance workflows, and comfortable working in a fast-paced DSO environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage end-to-end revenue cycle processes for assigned dental locations

· Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and plan limitations

· Submit and track dental insurance claims accurately and timely

· Post insurance payments, adjustments, and EOBs

· Research and resolve claim denials, underpayments, and rejections

· Follow up on aged accounts receivable to ensure timely collections

· Reconcile payments and maintain accurate patient and insurance ledgers

· Communicate with dental offices, insurance carriers, and internal teams

· Support month-end close activities and reporting as needed

· Identify trends, issues, and opportunities for revenue improvement

· Maintain compliance with payer, state, and internal policies

Qualifications & Experience

· Minimum 3 years of dental revenue cycle or dental billing experience required

· Strong understanding of dental insurance plans (PPO, HMO, Medicare)

· Experience with submission claims, payments, adjustments, and AR follow-up

· Strong experience in insurance payment posting, contractual adjustments, and payment reconciliation

· High attention to detail with strong organizational skills

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Experience

· Experience working within a Dental Service Organization (DSO)

· Multi-location or multi-state dental billing experience

· Dentrix Ascend experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
