- Clinical Examination and Diagnosis: Conducting thorough patient examinations, reviewing medical histories, interpreting X-rays, and diagnosing dental and oral conditions.
- Dental cleanings and scaling.
- Fillings for carious lesions (cavities).
- Simple extractions of non-restorable teeth.
- Root canal treatment for single-rooted teeth (or assisting in complex cases).
- Treating acute pain and infection.
- Managing trauma to the teeth, gums, and oral structures.
- Providing temporary restorations or palliative care.
- Treatment Planning: Formulating and presenting basic to intermediate treatment plans for patients, often in consultation with senior dentists or specialists.
- Patient Education: Instructing patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventative care (like fluoride application), and post-operative care.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records, including diagnostic findings, treatment performed, and progress notes, in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhering to sterilization and infection control protocols in the operatory and with instruments.
- Team Collaboration: Working effectively with dental assistants, hygienists, technicians, and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow and clinic operations.
