Dental Surgeon

Key Responsibilities

• Examine patients to assess oral health conditions and diagnose dental issues
• Perform dental surgeries such as tooth extractions, wisdom tooth removal, implants, and corrective procedures
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Administer local anesthesia and manage pain control during procedures
• Prescribe medications, including antibiotics and pain relievers, when appropriate
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventive dentistry
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Ensure compliance with infection control and sterilization protocols
• Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and other healthcare professionals
• Stay current with advancements in dental techniques and technologies

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree
• Valid dental license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction
• Completion of internship or residency (preferred or required, depending on role)
