Dental Surgery Assistant

Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Dental Surgery Assistant to join our clinical team in an Oral Surgery office. The ideal candidate will have experience in dental or surgical assisting and possess knowledge of aseptic techniques. If you have a background in dental , endodontics, surgery, X-Ray procedures, and anatomy, we encourage you to apply.

Job Summary:
The Oral Surgery Assistant provides chairside and clinical support to the Oral Surgeon and Clinical team. Responsibilities include preparing operatories, organizing surgical trays and instruments, sterilizing equipment, assisting during surgical procedures, supporting patients before and after surgery, and performing dental diagnostic x-rays.

Full-time hours-38-40 hours/week (with at least 50 % standing)

Experience: Prior surgical, dental, or medical assisting required.

Certification:

  • Current Dental Radiography (X-Ray) Certification preferred, or
  • Must obtain X-Ray Certification within three (3) months of hire
  • Current CPR certification (or must obtain within 30 days of hire)

Special Skills: Demonstrates the ability to work with interruptions and adapt to changing priorities. Basic computer and keyboarding skills preferred. Demonstrates excellent service behaviors.
