Dental Surgical Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an assistant that is experienced in dental surgery, and that has ideally worked with full-arch implant cases previously. The person for this job will be someone who has a heart for making a difference in the lives of others. Beyond just technical qualifications, we want to find someone who will be a great fit for our team and wants to positively impact the world.

This position will suit someone that takes pride in the attention to detail, and that can coordinate their work with other team members to make the day a success.

This is a Monday through Thursday position!

ROLE

As a member of the clinical team, you will work under the direction of the doctors to deliver the very highest level of care available. Each member of our team needs to be comfortable utilizing dental technology including CBCT image acquisition, intraoral scanning and digital photography. We believe in granting the greatest level of autonomy available, while working in a coordinated manner to achieve our organizational goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Setting up and cleaning up after dental appointments.
  • Managing consultation appointments for incoming patients including taking x-rays, intraoral digital impressions, etc.
  • Assisting in dental procedures including extractions, bone reduction and grafting, implant placement and implant restoration appointments.
  • Managing patient records and ensuring accurate note taking.
  • Assisting in IV sedation.
  • Organizing and preparing implant component parts

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as dental assistant or dental lab assistant in dental surgery
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
  • Understanding of health & safety regulations
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Well-organized and reliable
  • High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred
  • Additional certification or training is welcomed (e.g. EFDA)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
