Dental Treatment Coordinator/ Front Desk OR Dental assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a bilingual (fluent Spanish & English speaking), dynamic and compassionate Dental Treatment Coordinator / Front Desk or Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team. This multifaceted role combines patient care coordination, front desk management, and clinical assistance to ensure a seamless and positive experience for every patient. You will be the friendly face welcoming patients, managing appointments, handling medical and dental documentation, and supporting clinical procedures with professionalism and enthusiasm. Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in and check-out processes using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix.
  • Schedule appointments efficiently while managing cancellations and rescheduling to optimize daily patient flow.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, financial options, and insurance benefits, ensuring clear communication and understanding.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary dental supplies, and maintaining aseptic techniques in compliance with infection control standards.
  • Assist dentists during procedures such as restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and other general dentistry treatments using chairside assisting techniques.
  • Take X-rays or utilize 3D scanners for accurate diagnosis while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
  • Manage medical documentation including medical records, coding procedures accurately for billing purposes, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment like digital X-ray machines, medical imaging tools, and dental instruments.
  • Support infection control protocols by following proper sterilization procedures and maintaining a clean clinical environment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, vital signs monitoring, and medical imaging to support comprehensive patient care.

Experience

  • Bilingual (fluent Spanish & English speaking)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a dental office (required)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Dentrix (required)
  • Experience with dental billing, insurance claims, and payment posting
  • Strong communication skills and professional phone presence
  • Friendly, patient-focused personality
  • Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to confidently present treatment plans and financial options

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
