We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental/Assistant Front and Back Office professional to join our vibrant dental team. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and manage appointment scheduling using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
- Maintain accurate medical and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and security of patient information.
- Assist dentists during procedures by preparing instruments, managing suction, and providing chairside support in four-handed dentistry setups.
- Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, dental terminology, and post-operative care to enhance their understanding and comfort.
- Manage medical documentation including vital signs, medical history updates, and medical coding for billing purposes.
- Support administrative tasks such as answering phones as a dental receptionist, confirming appointments, and coordinating patient flow efficiently.
Skills
- Proficiency with EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for scheduling, documentation, and billing.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security.
- Experience with pediatric dentistry procedures and pediatrics-specific patient management.
- Ability to perform X-ray imaging accurately while maintaining strict infection control standards.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology across general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Familiarity with 3D scanners and medical imaging tools used in advanced diagnostics.
- Excellent chairside assisting skills including vital signs measurement, medical documentation, and aseptic technique.
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental procedures and infection control practices in a clinical setting.
