Your Role & Responsibilities
As an Associate Dentist with Hadley Family Dentistry, you will:
- Provide comprehensive general dental care to patients of all ages. including routine exams, fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures, and other restorations.
- Perform and/or oversee advanced procedures you are comfortable with (e.g. extractions, root canals, implants, cosmetic dentistry). We encourage you to practice to the full extent of your skills, and offer support/training if you want to expand your range.
- Develop personalized treatment plans and clearly educate patients about their oral health and recommended treatments. Our patient-first approach means taking time to answer questions and build trust.
- Lead your dental team (2 hygienists + 2 assistants) effectively, ensuring clinical days run smoothly and patients receive top-notch care and service.
- Collaborate with our orthodontist and visiting periodontist for referrals or co-treatments on specialized cases (braces/Invisalign, complex extractions, gum surgeries, implants, etc.). You’ll have internal specialists in the building, enhancing comprehensive care for your patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using our digital dental software. Follow all clinical protocols and OSHA/Indiana regulations to ensure patient safety and high quality standards.
- Stay current with the latest dental techniques and technologies. We support continuing education so you can continually improve and bring new skills to our practice.
Qualifications
- DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school; Indiana dental license (active or ability to obtain licensure).
- 2+ years of clinical experience preferred – however, talented and motivated recent graduates are also encouraged to apply. (We offer mentorship to help newer dentists thrive.)
- Proficiency in general dentistry. Additional experience or interest in areas like implants, endodontics, orthodontics/Invisalign, oral surgery, or sedation dentistry is a plus (but not required).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be patient-focused with a friendly chairside manner and the ability to educate and put patients at ease.
- Strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset. You enjoy working with a close-knit team and lead your staff by example to provide exceptional care.
- Leadership and organizational skills to manage a busy schedule and supervise your hygienist/assistant pod. Willingness to learn from others and share knowledge in a collaborative setting.
- Current DEA license and BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain these prior to start).
