Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients of all ages, with a focus on pediatric dentistry and general dentistry. The Dentist will perform a variety of procedures, including examinations, diagnoses, treatments, and preventive care, while ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive dental examinations and assessments for patients.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and preferences.
- Perform various dental procedures, including but not limited to dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and endodontics.
- Administer anesthesia and manage pain control during procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to provide efficient patient care through four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Ensure infection control protocols are followed in all procedures and treatment areas.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and techniques, including medical imaging and aseptic techniques.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform oral surgery procedures with precision and care.
- Excellent patient assessment skills to determine appropriate treatment options.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff members.
- Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is advantageous.
