Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive dental care to patients with support from your dental team.
- Utilize advanced dental technologies, including digital x-rays, Panorex units, and fiber-optic handpieces.
- Participate in morning huddles, planning your day, and fostering team engagement.
- Provide care primarily to children ages 3–21, with up to 30% adult patient population, depending on location.
- Manage office flow: approximately 10–12 operative patients and 20–25 hygiene patients daily.
- Work with a team structure of 1 hygienist, 1 hygiene assistant, and 2 dental assistants per provider.
- Comply with state insurance plans, PPOs, and out-of-network payor requirements.
- Complete annual OSHA, HIPAA, and Emergency Management training.
- Contribute to community outreach and activities to promote a positive image of the practice.
Requirements
- DDS or DMD from a dental program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
- Current, valid license to practice dentistry in the state(s) of care or eligibility for licensure.
- Required certifications, including CPR and DEA; Nitrous Oxide certification where applicable.
- Compassion and a strong desire to provide dental care to children and adults.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with pediatric patients or a primarily pediatric patient base.
- Strong teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Interest in participating in community-focused dental programs and initiatives.
