Job Summary
The dentist performs various patient care duties, under the supervision of the Medical Director. The Dentist is responsible to implement best and safe practices in treatment.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Provide dental services for patients both routine and non-routine
- Perform documentation of all services provided
- Comply with facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for accrediting agencies; specifically, Joint Commission guidelines, CMS Standards, Hosptials' Policy and Directives and HHSC Standards, Rules and Directives.
Requirements:
- Must be licensed as a dentist by the State of Texas
- Must comply with HHSC immunization requirements
- Must submit to HHSC required drug test
- Must submit to HHSC required fingerprinting
- Must complete facility and HHSC required training
- Must abide by staffing agency and hospital’s attendance and leave policy
- Must abide by the rules, regulations, and policies of HHSC and the Hospital
License, Certification, or Registration Required
- Current and unrestricted license to practice Dentistry with the State of Texas through TDLR
- Must be certified by the American Heart Association –BLS in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and maintain that certification while providing services at the Hospitals.
- Copies of CPR certifications must be kept on file with the Hospital's Contracting office.
- All certifications must be current and remain as such while providing services at the Hospitals
