Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general dentistry, with experience in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, and endodontics. This role involves providing comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages, ensuring optimal oral health and patient satisfaction. The Dentist will utilize advanced dental technologies and adhere to strict infection control protocols, maintaining the highest standards of patient care and medical documentation. Familiarity with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, and Dentrix is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental examinations, assessments, and diagnoses using current medical and dental terminology.
- Provide a wide range of dental treatments including general dentistry, root canal therapy, dental extractions, prosthodontics, and oral surgery procedures.
- Utilize dental imaging techniques and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Conduct patient education on oral health practices and treatment options.
- Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment.
- Collaborate with dental assistants in four-handed dentistry procedures to improve efficiency and patient comfort.
- Manage pediatric patients with specialized care tailored to their needs, including pediatrics-focused treatments.
- Document all patient interactions thoroughly within electronic health records systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft.
- Stay current with advancements in dental terminology, techniques, and technology to provide the highest quality care.
Qualifications
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state dental license in good standing.
- Experience with Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix or similar dental practice management software preferred.
- Proven experience in general dentistry; additional expertise in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, or oral surgery is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical imaging techniques.
- Ability to perform dental procedures such as root canals, extractions, restorations, and prosthetic work efficiently and accurately.
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to patient assessment and education.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards required for maintaining confidentiality and compliance.
