Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dentist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive dental care, ensuring optimal oral health for patients across all age groups. This role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing various dental conditions while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and infection control. The Dentist will collaborate with a team of dental professionals to deliver exceptional service in a modern, well-equipped environment.
Duties
- Perform general dentistry procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, and bridges
- Conduct oral surgery procedures such as dental extractions and root canal therapy
- Utilize advanced dental technology including medical imaging and dental fabrication tools
- Assess patient needs through thorough patient assessment and medical/dental history review
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed using aseptic techniques
- Provide pediatric dentistry services when applicable, including behavior management and preventive care
- Use dental terminology effectively to communicate diagnoses and treatment options to patients
- Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to ensure smooth clinic operations
- Stay current with advancements in dentistry by participating in continuing education and training
Qualifications
- Valid state dental license with eligibility to practice dentistry in the designated location
- Proficiency with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms
- Experience in general dentistry with additional skills in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and infection control preferred
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and dental terminology
- Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, and other complex procedures confidently
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to treatment and education
- Experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment is highly desirable
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards
- Ability to work effectively within a team using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and comfort
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of aseptic technique and infection control practices
