Job descriptionSummary:

The Department Operations Assistant will support the daily operational needs of the HR & Compliance department by providing junior-level compliance assistance, basic IT support, coordination of internal activities, and general administrative support. This role requires a proactive and creative individual capable of assisting with projects, documentation, internal processes, and occasional company events or craft-style initiatives. The ideal candidate is organized, tech-savvy, resourceful, and willing to grow as additional responsibilities evolve over time.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide basic IT support such as system setups, password resets, equipment coordination, and troubleshooting simple technical issues.
  • Assist the Compliance area with document preparation, checklists, reporting, audits, and maintaining internal procedures.
  • Support the coordination and logistics of internal activities, meetings, events, and creative projects as needed.
  • Prepare materials, presentations, and small craft-style items for employee engagement initiatives.
  • Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for compliance and departmental documentation.
  • Assist in gathering data, completing forms, and preparing reports required by internal or external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate equipment requests, supplies, and vendor communication as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to company procedures, confidentiality standards, and compliance protocols.
  • Provide general administrative support to the department, including scheduling, follow-ups, and tracking tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing and upcoming departmental projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned; responsibilities may evolve based on departmental needs.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 1 year in administrative support, IT support, compliance, operations, or a related field.
  • Experience assisting with office coordination, events, or internal activities is a plus.
  • Familiarity with technology systems, basic troubleshooting, or compliance procedures preferred.
