ROLE PROFILE

The Product Manager will be responsible for understanding how various parts of the organization work together to achieve business objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of the electric vehicle industry, including knowledge of competitors' products and services, market trends, and the commercial environment. The candidate must be adept at coordinating with multiple departments such as Design, Engineering, Sourcing, Quality, Manufacturing, Service, and Marketing/Sales to ensure seamless product development and delivery.


Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Lead the delivery of programs from concept to production.

Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to ensure product development aligns with business goals.

Conduct daily cadences for team management and decision-making.

Assist in product planning activities, including business case preparation, benchmarking, and budget control.

Organize and lead daily scrums with stakeholders.

Develop and execute new model roadmaps.

Work closely with program managers and technical teams to manage dependencies and build end-to-end features.

Perform data-driven analysis to anticipate and resolve roadblocks.

Coordinate with suppliers to ensure adherence to timelines and explore cost-effective alternatives.

Lead cost reduction workshops and implement savings on BOM costs.

Maintain scope, quality, cost, and delivery timelines across projects.


Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Strong understanding of the product/project life cycle and global vehicle development processes.

Excellent project management skills with proficiency in tools such as MS PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Jira, and Teamcenter PLM.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead through influence.

Experience in performing and managing component and vehicle-level tests, including functional, performance, and durability tests.

Proven track record of cost reduction and value engineering.

Ability to perform risk assessments and manage change requests through a Change Control Board (CCB).


Good to have:

Experience in the electric vehicle industry.

Knowledge of AIS-156 Battery Regulation and battery safety features.

Experience with manufacturing line readiness and AI for automated detection and data acquisition.


Role Specific Qualifications/Certifications

Bachelor’s degree with 11+ years of work experience with experience in automotive design engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Relevant certifications in project management or product development are a plus.
