Job Purpose:
To safeguard the company’s assets and interests by managing the placement, renewal, and administration of all local and operational insurance policies. The role ensures timely and cost-effective coverage, efficient claim settlement, and compliance with corporate requirements while building strong relationships with insurers, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:

Manage placement, renewal, and administration of all local and operational insurance policies.

Negotiate terms, conditions, and premiums with insurers and brokers to secure optimal coverage.

Ensure comprehensive coverage including property, vehicles, marine, travel, group health/life, and directors’ liability.

Handle end-to-end insurance claims process – notification, documentation, surveyor coordination, and settlement follow-up.

Liaise with Finance and Accounts teams for premium schedules, reconciliations, and claim recoveries.

Support international reinsurers/brokers with documentation for operational insurance placement and renewals.

Coordinate with surveyors, engineers, and O&M teams during plant inspections and claim assessments.

Maintain accurate records of policies, claims, recoveries, and deductibles.

Advise management on insurance coverage gaps, risks, and additional protection needs.

Build strong relationships with insurance companies, brokers, and loss adjusters to safeguard company interests.
Qualification, Skills & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).

5–7 years of proven experience in corporate insurance management, risk, or related functions.

Strong knowledge of local and international insurance markets, policies, and claim processes.

Hands-on experience in negotiating insurance terms, handling claims, and liaising with insurers/brokers.

Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills, especially with Finance, Operations, and external auditors/surveyors.

Analytical mindset with ability to assess risks, coverage gaps, and recommend improvements.
