Position: Deputy Manager – Logistics (Agri Commodities)

Description:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Deputy Manager – Logistics (Agri Commodities) to manage and streamline the transportation and distribution of key crops such as rice, wheat, corn, and other agricultural commodities. The role requires expertise in logistics planning, fleet and vendor management, and ensuring timely, cost-effective, and safe delivery of commodities from collection centers to warehouses and buyers.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute the transportation of agricultural commodities across multiple regions
- Manage logistics operations including fleet, third-party vendors, and distribution channels
- Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of commodities to warehouses and buyers
- Develop and implement cost-effective logistics strategies while ensuring quality and safety standards
- Collaborate with procurement, stock, and warehouse teams to synchronize logistics with overall supply chain activities
- Track, analyze, and report logistics KPIs such as cost, delivery timelines, and vehicle utilization
- Resolve operational bottlenecks, delays, and disputes with vendors and transporters
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and food safety standards during transportation
- Maintain accurate documentation for billing, audits, and management reporting
- Supervise and support field logistics staff to ensure efficient daily operations
Minimum Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in logistics, fleet management, or agri-commodities distribution
- Strong knowledge of logistics operations, transportation management systems, and agri-commodity handling
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/logistics management software
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects in field operations

(Note: Candidate must be flexible to travel across warehouses and collection centers as per operational needs)
Timings:
Mon–Fri 9 AM to 6 PM | Sat 10 AM to 4 PM
