- Assist the Purchase Head in overseeing and managing the entire procurement function.
- Execute day-to-day purchase activities, ensuring timely procurement of materials, components, and services.
- Identify, assess, and develop reliable suppliers and vendors to maintain consistent quality and delivery standards.
- Conduct negotiations on pricing, contracts, and delivery terms to achieve cost efficiency and value for the company.
- Coordinate closely with production, planning, and stores teams to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
- Review purchase requisitions, generate purchase orders, and monitor order progress and vendor performance.
- Maintain and update procurement data, supplier databases, and purchase documentation.
- Support cost reduction, process improvement, and value engineering initiatives led by the Purchase Head.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and statutory norms in all procurement activities.
- Contribute to budget planning, forecasting, and vendor audits as part of department objectives.
- Provide guidance to junior purchase staff and ensure smooth workflow within the department.
