Position Overview
The Deputy Medical Superintendent will assist the Medical Superintendent in managing day-to-day clinical operations, maintaining NABH standards, ensuring smooth coordination between departments, enhancing patient safety, and driving performance improvement across the hospital.
This is a key leadership role requiring strong administrative acumen, clinical background, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Hospital Operations & Administration
- Oversee daily functioning of clinical and support departments.
- Ensure availability and optimal utilisation of hospital beds, emergency care, NICU, labour room, OT, and OPD services.
- Coordinate duty rosters for doctors, RMOs, interns, and paramedical staff.
- Manage patient flow and help resolve operational bottlenecks.
2. Quality & NABH Compliance
- Maintain and upgrade all NABH accreditation standards (Entry Level / Full).
- Conduct audits, gap assessments, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, SOPs, and clinical protocols.
- Monitor infection control practices in collaboration with ICN & ICC.
3. Medical Workforce Coordination
- Supervise RMOs, duty doctors, and DNB trainees.
- Facilitate CME programs, trainings, and skill development for clinical staff.
- Participate in credentialing and privileging of clinicians.
4. Patient Safety & Experience
- Monitor clinical outcomes, incident reports, and patient grievances.
- Ensure timely resolution of complaints in coordination with MS office.
- Promote a culture of patient-centered care.
5. Regulatory & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements (Biomedical Waste, PNDT, Pharmacy, Fire & Safety, AERB, etc.).
- Assist in preparing reports for governing bodies and regulatory authorities.
6. Strategic Planning & New Initiatives
- Support rollout of new departments, expansion projects, and service upgrades.
- Contribute to performance monitoring, KPI dashboards, and revenue optimization.
- Participate in management meetings and provide analytical inputs.

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹120,000.00 per month
