Dermatology Certified Medical Assistant

Dallas Dermatology Partners is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is outgoing, reliable, detail-oriented, flexible, and enthusiastic about providing exceptional dermatologic patient care. This individual should demonstrate strong communication skills, a high energy level, and a proven track record of excellent work performance supported by strong professional references.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• Minimum of one year of experience working in a dermatology practice
• Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

Role and Responsibilities

• Room patients and verify patient information by interviewing patients, recording medical histories, and confirming the purpose of visits
• Assist providers during patient examinations and treatments, including handing instruments, administering injections, and removing sutures
• Explain treatment plans, medications, and provider instructions to patients
• Demonstrate knowledge of electronic prescribing and prescription refills
• Communicate laboratory and pathology results to patients
• Perform other duties as assigned
