Medical Assistant and Scribe at Dermatology Clinic

A dermatology clinic at downtown Flushing is looking for a full time medical assistant and medical scribe. This job provides great healthcare experience whether you are preparing for medical, PA, or nursing school or looking for an opportunity to grow within a medical practice. You will be working alongside a few providers to gain firsthand clinical experience, assist procedures, lasers, and surgeries. All work is done on electronic health record. Our practice has a collegial and professional working environment. A positive demeanor is mandatory to provide patient care. Experience in healthcare is preferred, but not required. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

Job Responsibilities:

• Obtain history of present illness and prepare patients for examination
• Accompany providers during patient visits to document clinic notes through Electronic Health Records system
• Setup and assist providers with biopsy, surgeries, lasers, and cosmetic procedures
• Stock patient rooms with medical supplies and sterilize instruments
• Communicate with patients, pharmacies, and laboratories for any questions
