Position Overview

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Dunkirk team and provide hands-on support to our healthcare providers. This position is ideal for someone who is motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about patient care. You’ll be directly involved in preparing patients for procedures, assisting with minor surgeries, and ensuring a smooth and positive experience for every patient.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients for dermatologic procedures and minor surgeries
• Assist providers during and after procedures, including patient education and wound care
• Sterilize and prepare instruments and treatment areas
• Maintain and update patient medical records and documentation
• Prepare and document medications as prescribed by providers
• Educate patients about medications, treatments, and post-operative instructions
• Perform general clerical duties including scheduling, phone support, and filing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical setting preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Compassionate, professional, and patient-focused demeanor
