Lead Dermatology Nurse Practitioner

About the Role

We are opening a new outpatient dermatology-focused practice and are seeking an experienced Dermatology Nurse Practitioner to join as a lead provider. The practice is being built around a modern, patient-centered model that emphasizes clinical quality, efficiency, and a highly personalized experience, with a structured focus on both dermatology and medical weight management.

This role offers flexibility to start part-time and transition to full-time, making it ideal for a provider who wants to help build a high-quality, patient-focused practice from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat common dermatologic conditions
• Perform skin exams and evaluate lesions
• Develop treatment plans and educate patients
• Perform office-based procedures within scope
• Maintain accurate documentation
• Support clinical workflows and quality standards
• Conduct medical evaluations for weight management patients
• Develop and monitor individualized weight loss treatment plans
• Prescribe and manage medications (including GLP-1 therapies) as appropriate
• Provide basic nutrition and lifestyle counseling
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Educate patients on safe and sustainable weight loss strategies

Qualifications

• Active NP license and board certification
• Dermatology experience required (minimum 3 years)
• Strong medical and cosmetic dermatology background
• Excellent communication and patient care skills

Preferred

• 4–8+ years dermatology experience
• DCNP preferred, not required
• Experience with biopsies and lesion evaluation
• Outpatient or private practice experience
• Experience in medical weight management

Compensation

• $90–$110/hour depending on experience
