Job Title: Video Editor (Descript)

Location: Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 4, Karachi

Job Type: Full-time

Salary Range: 60,000 – 80,000

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor with strong experience using Descript to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for storytelling, pacing, and audio-visual quality, and be comfortable editing podcasts, social media videos, interviews, and marketing content.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit and produce engaging video content using Descript.
• Sync audio and video, add captions, transitions, graphics, and background music.
• Clean up filler words, pauses, and background noise while maintaining a natural flow.
• Collaborate with writers, producers, and marketing teams to bring concepts to life.
• Optimize videos for multiple platforms (YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
• Manage and organize video assets efficiently.
• Ensure timely delivery of edits under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Video Editor, preferably with Descript.
• Strong understanding of video storytelling and sound design.
• Experience editing short-form and long-form content.
• Knowledge of social media video trends and formats.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high production quality.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Bonus: Familiarity with tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or Canva.

Preferred Experience

• 1–3 years of video editing experience.
• Experience editing podcasts, webinars, or marketing videos.
• Familiarity with content repurposing workflows (e.g., long-form to clips).
