Wake Remodeling is a boutique design-build remodeling company based in historic downtown Apex, serving homeowners in Apex, Cary, Holly Springs, and surrounding areas. We create thoughtfully designed, well-executed spaces and believe the client experience should feel just as refined as the finished project.
We are seeking a Design & Marketing Assistant to support our lead designer, office operations, and brand presentation. This is a hybrid role for someone who is organized, visually aware, polished in communication, and energized by both creative and administrative work.
This position blends design support, office coordination, showroom readiness, content creation, and day-to-day marketing execution. It is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in details, and wants to contribute meaningfully inside a growing design-build company. The responsibilities align with your current design and marketing/content roles, including design support, showroom and office support, Buildertrend updates, content capture, social media, marketing materials, and client-facing brand presentation.
Responsibilities
- Support the lead designer with project organization, selections, meeting notes, and client/design materials
- Help maintain design files, samples, and showroom displays
- Coordinate and update project information in Buildertrend
- Capture polished jobsite and showroom photos/videos for social media and marketing use
- Create and schedule content for social media platforms
- Assist with marketing pieces such as graphics, flyers, postcards, email visuals, and blog drafts
- Provide backup office and administrative support as needed
- Help keep the showroom and office polished, organized, and client-ready
- Support company events, home tours, and other marketing initiatives
- Assist with client communication, scheduling coordination, and general office follow-through
- Help maintain a strong, consistent brand presentation across print, digital, and in-person touchpoints
Qualifications
- Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
- Creative and visually aware, with strong brand and presentation instincts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable balancing creative work with administrative support
- Interested in residential remodeling, design, and client experience
- Experience with Canva, Microsoft Office, social media platforms, and content creation
- Ability to take quality photos and videos with a smartphone or camera
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Experience
- Experience in design support, marketing, office administration, or a related field
- Experience in remodeling, interior design, architecture, or construction-related businesses
- Familiarity with Buildertrend, Adobe Creative Suite, Chief Architect, or similar tools
- Experience with blogging, short-form video, or branded content creation

Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday to Friday
- Hybrid schedule based on office needs, jobsite visits, and content capture requirements
Work Location
Apex, NC with local travel to job sites, appointments, and company events as needed
