Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized Design Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic design team. In this role, you will serve as the backbone of office operations for a lead designer. Being able to provide exceptional support to ensure smooth daily functioning for our designers is vital. Attention to detail, working with numbers, and overall office organizational skills are needed for this position. Additional financial bonuses (up and above hourly wage) are based on performance.
Duties
- Greeting clients and guiding them through the showroom with professionalism and warmth.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding promptly to inquiries via phone and email.
- Creating visual documents by using PowerPoint, SketchUp, etc. to be a sales aid to the lead designer.
- Maintaining organizational systems, including physical paperwork and electronic files.
- Managing multiple projects, working with clients from beginning to end.
- Ability to manage desk responsibilities such as writing sales slips, purchase orders, scanning documents, etc.
- Assist with bookkeeping tasks such as invoicing and expense tracking.
- Support calendar management, scheduling appointments and reminders for the team.
Skills
- Attention to detail with overall exceptional organizational skills.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication.
- Math skills with ability to calculate basic material quantities and project estimates.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- SketchUp, Photoshop, AutoCAD (previous knowledge or experience not required)
- 2-4 year interior design degree is not required but is preferred along with design knowledge and/or experience.
- Professional, timely, and dependable.
