Design Assistant with Chief Architect Experience

We are currently looking for a Design Assistant to help our team with design, modeling and construction documentation for our beautiful refinement and renovation projects. This position will work alongside our Designer and support our Senior Designers to execute our client design and delivery plans. Experience with Chief Architect is strongly desired. This position will begin in our Wilmington office, but has the potential to transfer to our Wellesley office.

The Design Assistant will have a wide array of duties, from administrative to creative design, to help throughout the project process as required. The successful candidates will have a design degree with 1 to 3 years of experience, a professional work ethic, excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, a drive for accuracy, computer design skills, and a sense of urgency.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist with Chief Architect designs, elevations, layouts and construction materials
• Prepare project binders, fixtures and appliance specs, gathering estimates and preparing client materials and budgets
• Ensure project documentation is current and assist with any on-site design questions or resolution of required project material needs

Qualifications & Expectations:

• 1-3 years of Experience in Interior Design is preferred
• Proficiency in Chief Architect strongly preferred
• Experience in designing and ordering cabinetry
• Professional work ethic and appearance
• Proficiency in MAC OS applications, Numbers, Pages and Outlook
• High level of organizational skills and strong attention to detail
• Strong ability to multi-task with time management skills
