Design Associate

Overview

We are looking for dedicated Design Associates to support architectural and design projects by executing assigned design tasks with accuracy, speed, and professionalism. This role is essential for maintaining workflow efficiency, meeting deadlines, and ensuring that technical and creative requirements are delivered as per project expectations. You will work closely with the Project Manager and design team to produce drawings, details, models, and supporting documentation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design & Drafting

• Prepare and update 2D drawings (plans, sections, elevations, details).
• Create and modify 3D models in Revit/ArchiCAD/SketchUp as required.
• Assist in producing presentation boards, visuals, and concept layouts.
• Implement revisions and changes instructed by the Project Manager or Senior Designers.

2. Documentation & Detailing

• Develop architectural detailing as per standards and templates provided.
• Maintain accuracy and consistency across drawings and documentation.
• Organize layers, line weights, and file structures as per team templates.
• Prepare BOQs, schedules, and drawing sheets when required.

3. Coordination & Support

• Work closely with the Project Manager to understand task priorities and deadlines.
• Coordinate with team members (architects, draftsmen, 3D artists, engineers) for smooth workflow.
• Provide timely task updates and highlight issues, conflicts, or missing information.
• Support in design reviews and ensure timely implementation of feedback.

4. Quality & Compliance

• Ensure all design outputs meet project standards and naming conventions.
• Perform QA checks on own work before submitting for review.
• Maintain clean, organized, and lightweight files suitable for client use.
• Adhere to project timelines, checklists, and documented processes.

5. Creative & Technical Input

• Contribute ideas and solutions during design discussions.
• Assist in material research, mood boards, and design concepts when requested.
• Keep track of industry trends, drafting standards, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Architectural Technology, or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant work experience (fresh graduates with strong portfolios considered).
• Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, Photoshop, etc.
• Strong understanding of architectural drawings and detailing.
• Ability to follow instructions, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Good communication, teamwork, and reporting skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Internship
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs80,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 48 per week
