Design Consultant/Sales

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Design Consultant/Sales professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while guiding clients through their design and renovation projects. You will leverage your knowledge of interior design, construction, and high-end sales to create tailored solutions that meet our clients' needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for design, and the ability to effectively negotiate and upsell products.

Duties

  • Engage with customers to understand their design needs and preferences.
  • Utilize GudHub and CAD software to create layout designs and visual presentations.
  • Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits.
  • Manage account relationships through effective communication and follow-up.
  • Assist clients in selecting materials, fixtures, and finishes for their renovation projects.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to achieve monthly targets through inside and outside sales efforts.
  • Provide expert advice on countertop design, maintenance, and remodeling options.
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotes, and contracts.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and product developments.
  • Employ negotiation skills to close sales while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain an organized workspace and organized client and project files.
  • Process transactions accurately using POS systems.
  • No cold calls.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in retail sales or high-end sales environments is preferred.
  • Some background and/or a general interest in interior design, renovation, or construction is preferred.
  • Proficiency in GudHub, CAD, or similar design software is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage diverse clientele.
  • Comfortable communicating in person and utilizing phone and email correspondences to convey information.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in layout design and product selection.
  • Familiarity with retail math concepts for accurate pricing and inventory management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated to achieve individual goals.
  • Results-oriented mindset with the ability to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • A passion for customer service with a focus on building long-term relationships.

Compensation Package: Base Pay + Sales Commission (Pay range shown is estimated for the first year. There are no commission limits.)

Schedule: Full-time, 5 days per week, some Saturday availability required

Please note: All scheduled interviews will be in-person. We do not have work from home options and cannot accommodate part-time availability for this position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
